Let the adventure begin! Toronto is Canada’s largest city and one of the most cosmopolitan and multicultural cities in the world. Upon arrival at Toronto International Airport, make your way to your downtown hotel. Enroute, let the city on Lake Ontario welcome you to your great Eastern Canada adventure.

Today, travel to Niagara Falls and experience one of the world’s great natural wonders. From the top of the Skylon Tower to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Falls is simply spectacular. Enjoy a Voyage to the Falls boat tour cruise to get up close as the powerful falls spray mist towards you, or marvel at the illuminated Falls at nighttime when everything shines in a special light. Departing Niagara Falls, head to Midland and step back into history exploring the fascinating museum village Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, an impressive reconstruction of the first European settlement in Ontario.
From there, travel through the scenic Muskoka Lakes region. This popular and picturesque vacation area with its rugged islands and granite shores inspired many artists, notably the famous Canadian “Group of Seven”. You’ll soon reach Huntsville, the gateway to Algonquin Provincial Park, your overnight destination for the next two nights.
Algonquin Park is a paradise for nature lovers and home to many hiking trails and waterways. It is also the perfect place to experience a truly iconic Canadian adventure to explore the Canadian wilderness on a scenic canoeing trip. Many outfitters in the park rent canoes or kayaks by the hour. For a more enhanced experience, we recommend to explore the park wilderness on a guided half-day trip. Follow the Route of the Voyageurs through the heart of Ontario’s wilderness as you travel across the southern part of the Algonquin Park. Stop for a short hike at the Visitor Centre at the Eastern gate of park before you continue your journey through deeply forested areas all the way to Ottawa, Canada’s Capital. Shortly before reaching Ottawa, an adventure awaits you if you opt to take a whitewater rafting trip on the Ottawa River, another truly Canadian wilderness experience.

Ottawa, Canada’s federal capital, was once an important lumber and rail centre before Queen Victoria chose it as the site for Canada’s new capital in 1857. A green city with a provincial charm, Ottawa is home to an impressive number of museums, galleries and parks. See the stately Parliament buildings, walk along the picturesque Rideau Canal, and enjoy the “Changing of the Guards” ceremony during the summer months. Visit the Byward Market and visit the stunning National Museum of History across the Ottawa River in Hull.
In the afternoon, drive along the Ottawa River into the province of Quebec. In Montebello, visit the beautiful Omega Wildlife Park, a giant park that you can drive through and witness Canada’s most iconic animals as they roam freely through the park. Or visit the legendary Hotel Chateau Montebello, known for its refined cuisine and beautiful historic ambience. From here, here continue your journey into the richly forested mountains of the Laurentians. The area is filled with lakes and offers many recreational activities such as canoeing, hiking, fishing, cycling, golf and swimming.

In the morning, enjoy a ride with the panoramic gondola to the top of Mont Tremblant, the highest peak in the Laurentians. As you continue your journey, you’ll travel through the charming Quebec country side region of Lanaudière, an area abundant with many lakes and rivers. Summer and winter activities make this area a year-round vacation area.

Along the scenic northern shore of the St. Lawrence River, the scenic route Chemin du Roi follows all the way to Quebec, Canada’s oldest city that fascinates visitors with a distinct European heritage. It is the only walled city in North America, with restored old city gates, cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and many well-kept 17th- and 18th-century buildings.
Today, explore the many sights of Quebec City, take a walk on the Terasse Dufferin overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, marvel at the impressive Chateau Frontenac and the Old City with its Place Royal. See the famous historic battle field grounds Plains of Abraham where French and British history was written and the Citadel with its impressive fortifications.

Just outside Quebec City, take a quick stop to visit the impressive Montmorency Falls before getting on your way to follow the beautiful Beaupré coast. A highlight is the scenic Canyon Sainte Anne which boasts a 74m high waterfall and 3 suspension bridges over its rocky canyon. From here, travel through the beautiful Charlevoix coast region to Tadoussac, a starting point for whale-watching excursions in the Saint Lawrence River. During a three-hour whale-watching tour, marvel at the majestic white beluga whales, humpback whales and other marine wildlife.
